Mobile Ballet School requires that all students be in uniform to participate in
class. This enables the faculty to see the whole body for proper alignment
and correction.
For girls, the class uniform consists of a level-specific leotard, pink tights
worn inside pink shoes, with hair in a bun (or secured if too short for a bun).
Jewelry should be limited to stud earrings. Boys wear a white t-shirt, black
tights or black shorts, white socks, and black ballet slippers.
The Dance Shop (517 Holcombe Avenue in Mobile, or 1818 Main Street in
Daphne) stocks our dancewear and has a list of our requirements. If your
child takes more than two classes per week, you may wish to purchase
more than one leotard.
Primary Division girls wear a pink petal-sleeve dance dress by Motionwear.
Junior and Senior Division girls wear the style and color leotards and skirts
as listed below.
* The required skirt may be worn ONLY on special occasions in class and
MUST be worn in Showcase.
** Any style black leotard may be worn for most classes, but the uniform
must be worn on required days and for Showcase. On Wednesdays, Senior
Division students may wear the color leotard of their choice.
